The Church of Mount Zion Bible Certificate Program

Do you hunger to know more of God's Word? Would you like to deepen your knowledge of scripture, but have difficulty in getting away from the demands of a pressing schedule?

Many of God’s people feel a call to ministry or to Christian service. However, because of family responsibilities, time constraints, or income, etc, the prospects of going to a seminary does not seem feasible.

The Bible Certificate Program is designed to meet the needs of people in such a case: The BCP at Mount Zion Church has designated four courses every year—one each quarter. The lecturers will either be an ordained minister or a seminary graduate. Each course will run for four nights—Monday thru Thursday, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:15 p.m. (There will be a 15 minute break in between for refreshments).

All are welcome to attend the lessons free of charge. However, if you would also like credit for the course, there is a registration fee of $16 per subject, which covers the cost of a text book as well as the exam.

The basic Bible program covers 12 subjects. The text books will be given at the conclusion of each course, and an exam will be given. At the completion of the 12 courses, there will be a graduation ceremony, and a certificate will be issued to those who have successfully completed all 12 courses.

The schedule for the first year will be as follows:

  • Quarter 1 – September 12-15, 2011 – True Christianity; Rev. Frank R. Anderson, associate pastor
  • Quarter 2 – November 7-10, 2011 – Journey of the Children of Israel; Rev. Daniel G. Caram, senior pastor
  • Quarter 3 – January 23-26, 2012 - Romans; Rev. Frank R. Anderson, associate pastor
  • Quarter 4 – March 5-8, 2012 – 1 & 2 Peter; Jeremy J. Kropf; youth leader
The next year's classes and schedule will be anounced at a later date.

The world today is destitute of the true teacher of righteousness. That is our goal and vision—to produce men and women that will be able to teach the difference between the holy and the profane. The time is short; the greatest revival the world has ever known is yet to come; and we do not want to miss the opportunity that God is putting before us.
